Climbing Vines to Collaborate with Black Pantone at Sept. 24 Release Party
Climbing Vines is excited to have Ruani Ribe, C’12, and Cortney Charleston, W’12 C’12, founders and editors of BLACK PANTONE at the book release party for a special collaboration.
BLACK PANTONE is a submissions-based platform that aims to deconstruct the monolithic idea of blackness by showcasing the diversity of its physical representation and the experiences behind them. It was started by Ruani and Cortney to provide an inclusive and accessible space for self-definition by black peoples before the wider world.
At the launch party, BLACK PANTONE will curate a special visual/editorial series in collaboration with Climbing Vines entitled “BLACK PANTONE x Climbing Vines.” BLACK PANTONE will collect photographs of guests and their written responses to the question: How do you define what being black means to you in relation to your experience at Penn? These photographs and responses will be featured on Black-Pantone.com.
For more details about BLACK PANTONE, please visit their website and be sure to stop by and say hello at their booth at the Climbing Vines Launch party! If you can’t make the launch, you can still submit at Black-Pantone.com/submit.
Join us on September 24.
